A solo practice, on purpose
Paul M. Marriett has spent his career standing between ordinary people and the insurance companies, opposing lawyers, and institutions on the other side. He has practiced law since 2012 — handling personal-injury claims alongside criminal, DUI, and traffic defense — and built this practice around a simple idea: you work directly with the attorney. The person you meet is the person who handles your case, from the first call through settlement or trial.
Paul earned bachelor's degrees in Philosophy and Political Science, with a minor in Religious Studies, from Western Illinois University, and his law degree from Florida Coastal School of Law, where he also studied as a visiting student at John Marshall Law School in Chicago. He is admitted to practice in Wisconsin, Illinois, and Florida.
He began his career in Florida representing people who could not otherwise afford a lawyer, and working to recover compensation for business owners and workers harmed by the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. That work shaped how he practices now: taking fewer cases so each client gets real attention, and treating every case as if it may go to trial.
Away from the office, Paul is a father of three who spends his free time outdoors — fishing, hiking, and anything that keeps him off the computer.
